This project was completed during the second year in the program. We were tasked to pick an existing brand, and create an unexpected moving graphic for them. I chose Netflix and created an opening sequence that could be used for their horror section of movies and shows. The Gif was created using Adobe’s AfterEffects, and contains the Netflix “NX”, which drips to reveal the NETFLIX logo.
Process
I started this project by looking into the history of the Netflix logo, and what they currently were using. This helped show me what would be considered “unexpected”, and ensure it didn’t reflect something they had used in the past.
After doing my research, I created a storyboard of how I wanted the animation to look.
